February offers yet another round of festivals in Salobreña . During this month, Salobreña nights are filled with fiestas, mask, carnival lights, music and dance. These activities seem to be a prelude to the grandiosely celebrated provincial Day of Andalucia , held annually on the 28 th of the month. Green and white flags are usually used to adorn the village during this time.
Processions and the aromas of incense mark the advent of Easter. One particular interesting activity is the women only procession of the Virgin of Solitude, held on Good Friday.
